Job Exhibit XPJE

The Job Exhibit event encourages competitors to research various roles within a specific career cluster. Competitors will research salary and benefits, education and training requirements, natural abilities and required skills, availability of jobs, opportunities for advancement and any additional benefits or perks that would attract potential applicants. Participants will present their findings through a tri-fold visual display, offering insights into job requirements, salary, and advancement opportunities. This year, the specific career cluster is Law Enforcement.
  • Guidelines and Scorecard

The Job Exhibit competition is designed to expose the student to careers within the specified career cluster. The competition will provide the student with opportunities to learn about the requirements and expected salaries of a job within that cluster. This year, the specific career cluster is Law Enforcement. After this event is complete at the state competition, the displays may be set up for all to view.

Objectives

  • Research a job within the year's specific career cluster (Law Enforcement).
  • Create a colorful, informative and eye-catching tri-fold with the required information. Tri-fold must not exceed 36"x 48".(see rubric.)
  • Include a works cited section for your tri-fold with at least two sources using APA format.
  • Present a well-rehearsed 10 minute presentation over your findings using your tri-fold as a visual.
  • Answer judges questions about your presentation during a 5 minute Q&A session.
